Olfa ALS 248B Cutter Knife Black Blade Screw Lock Utility Tool

The Olfa ALS 248B Cutter Knife is a large utility tool made for cutting cardboard, thin plywood, and comparable materials. Its screw lock holds the blade edge firmly in position to support steady handling while cutting. The black blade adds a distinctive appearance for workshop, DIY, and general utility applications.

An updated cord mounting hole allows an anti-drop cord to be attached more easily than with earlier models. With an approximate weight of 2.6 oz, this single-count utility knife is convenient to keep nearby for projects requiring precise, controlled cuts. Its compact form fits well in toolboxes, workspaces, and craft areas.

Loosen or unlock the screw lock when necessary, set the blade for the desired cut, and tighten the screw lock securely before starting. Use controlled pressure when cutting cardboard, thin plywood, or similar materials, while keeping hands and other items clear of the blade path. If needed, connect an anti-drop cord through the cord mounting hole. Retract or secure the blade after use and place the knife in safe storage.

After use, clean the knife with a dry or slightly damp cloth and store it in a dry location. Before each use, confirm that the screw lock is tight, and replace or secure the blade if it is damaged or no longer appropriate for the task. Keep the knife away from children, moisture, and avoidable contact with the blade.
