1. Dec 24, 2025 (JST) update: Latest situation for shipping parcels to the U.S.
At Kiichin, we’d like to share an important update regarding shipments from Japan to the United States. Due to recent changes in U.S. customs regulations, import duties on international parcels may increase, with rates reaching up to 50% for certain products.
In particular, items containing aluminum or steel, such as kitchen tools, cookware, or some household goods, may be subject to significantly higher import taxes. All duties are assessed by U.S. Customs and paid by the recipient, so please be prepared for potential charges upon delivery.
2. 📢 Dec 15, 2025 JST: U.S. Import Duties update [for U.S customers only]
To ensure transparent pricing and a smooth delivery experience, Kiichin has updated its U.S. shipping and customs handling policy in line with recent U.S. import regulation changes.
Starting August 29, 2025, the U.S. de minimis exemption has ended, and most imports are now subject to up to 50% duty, regardless of order value.
To keep your experience smooth:

Japan Post (when available): We ship parcels under $150 per package to help reduce duties and processing issues.

DHL / FedEx / UPS & other couriers: All duties are prepaid at checkout, so there are no extra charges on delivery.
Please note that customs processing times may vary, and larger orders may be split into multiple parcels if needed. Orders refused or returned due to unpaid duties may incur return shipping fees. Please review our Refund Policy for full details.

4. Shipping protection & How to apply

4.1 What is Shipping Protection?
Shipping Protection gives you extra peace of mind when shopping at Kiichin. If your package is partially damaged during transit, you’ll be eligible for a refund on the affected item(s) and the applicable shipping portion. In the rare case that your order is entirely lost or damaged, you can receive a full refund, including shipping, after our Customer Support team verifies the issue.

6. Tracking your order
To track your order, open the Order Confirmation email sent by Kiichin. Copy your Order Number, then go to our tracking page: https://kiichin.com/pages/order-lookup
Paste your Order Number into the corresponding box, and enter the Email or Phone Number you used during checkout.
