II. Payment Methods at Kiichin

We are pleased to offer several convenient and secure payment options to our customers through Shop Pay, Apple Pay, GooglePay, and Credit card (Visa, Master Card, JCB, Amex). You can select any of the above payment methods to complete your order and ensure that it is processed without any delays. All of these payment options are safe, secure, and easy to use, and we guarantee the confidentiality of your personal and financial information. We will not store or collect your credit card information. Such information is transmitted directly to our third-party payment processors, whose Privacy Policies control their use of your personal information. These payment processors adhere to the PCI-DSS guidelines published by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a collaborative effort of companies such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. PCI-DSS standards aid in the safe handling of payment information. Shopify will keep your credit card information if you use a direct payment method to complete your transaction. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard is used to encrypt it (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is only kept for as long as it is required to fulfill your purchase. Your purchase will be processed once completed.

About installment plans or financing options or COD shipping/pay later

We currently do not offer installment plans or financing options. You are required to be paid when you place an order for items (pre-order or in stock, brand new or pre-owned). Unfortunately, we cannot accept delayed or partial payments at this time. However, we occasionally run promotions that may offer flexible payment options and shipping fee option. As we try our best to maintain competitive prices for the products, we don't have much profit to cover the shipping fee for customers. This fee is fully charged by our Delivery Service Partners. However, we always have a discount promo code for customers who first order on the website. It's code KIICHIN1 for your first purchase on Kiichin, you will get USD3 off all orders. You can enter that code when checking out to reduce the total order value by USD3.

Our customer can pay in their local currency using our currency converter. Exchange rates are updated daily to ensure accurate pricing.

IV. FAQs relate to Payment

Do you accept payments through PayPal or other digital wallets?

Now we are regret to notice that we had to make the decision to remove PayPal as an available payment method at Kiichin. PayPal fees are getting more and more outrageous compared to other payment providers, so we had to take this decision in order to keep our product prices competitive and not pass the costs to our customers. We hope you understand this decision and it does not impact the way you shop with us. We are pleased to offer several convenient and secure payment options to our customers through Shopify Payment (Shop Pay, GooglePay, and Credit card/VISA). You can select any of the above payment methods to complete your order and ensure that it is processed without any delays. Can I pay using a gift card or store credit?

We accept gift cards and store credit as payment. If available, simply enter the gift card or store credit code at checkout to apply the balance.

When will my payment be processed?

Payments are processed immediately upon order completion.

Do I need to pay sales tax or VAT?

When you visit our website, have an experience, and make a purchase, you will not be required to pay any sales tax. We strive to offer our services without any additional fees beyond the listed product prices on our website. However, it's important to note that import tax, customs duties may be applicable in your country, and you should be aware of any such fees imposed by your local customs authorities. Our aim is to bring Japanese goods to customers worldwide, and we are committed to providing a transparent and enjoyable shopping experience.

Can I change my currency?

At Kiichin, it is very easy for you to change the payment currency by selecting the currency of your country in the "Currency" box in the top right corner of the website interface. Please note that the exchange rate may vary a little compared to the real-time exchange rate.

What types of payment are not accepted?

Due to the nature of international freight and to ensure the interests of us and you, we regret that we now cannot accept the following forms of payment:
1) PayPal.
2) Cash (COD).
3) Money orders, bank transfers, and any other payment methods not listed at Available Payment Method are unacceptable. But we are planning to accept Bank Transfers and will launch that method in the near future.

Why can't I pay for my order?

We regret to hear that you encountered problems with your payment. Unfortunately, we don't have any control over whether your credit card is declined or approved. We use a third-party payment processor. Generally, we find that cards are declined because they're deemed "suspicious" by your bank. Some banks flag purchases that are international or for huge amounts. If your card is declined at our store, please contact your credit card company to inquire.
